Towards a Data Science Environment for Modeling Business Ecosystem - The Connected Mobility Case
Modeling the enterprise within its environment is constantly gaining more relevance in research and practice. This holistic view can be formalized as business ecosystem models (BEM). However, the BEM management process is a challenging task, which involves several stakeholders in a data-intensive process. In this paper, we adapted an existing data-science approach and introduced a tool called Business Ecosystem Explorer (BEEx) for supporting the BEM management process in the context of connected mobility. The BEEx provides role-based user interfaces, which empower end-users to manage the BEM. The evaluation of the BEEx was conducted with twelve companies, indicating the usefulness of the BEEx when fulfilling BE related tasks.
