Abstract

The goal of the project is to develop a fully autonomous, ultrasound-guided robotic system for spinal injections.

The objectives of the project are:

  1. Design the trajectory planning and robot control to ensure the ultrasound probe correctly scans the Region of Interest (ROI).
  2. Developing ultrasound processing methods to automatically detect relevant anatomical features and segment bones on ultrasound images.
  3. Developing registration methods to register pre-operative data to intra-operative ultrasound to guide the injection procedure.
