The purpose of this project is to utilize audio signals captured in surgical or diagnostic environments to develop novel systems for surgical guidance, error prevention, decision support and workflow assessment. To accomplish this goal, we develop hardware setups, signal processing pipelines and state-of-the-art learning-based algorithms, fully customized on the target medical use case. Our current work focuses on acoustic signals in the field of orthopedic surgery.
