The Department of Computer Science at the Technical University of Munich, Germany, is looking for a Postdoc or PhD student working on computational optimization and electricity market design led by Prof. Martin Bichler (https://www.cs.cit.tum.de/en/dss/home/).
Applicants for the PhD or post-doc position should hold a Master’s degree in computer science or mathematics. Interested individuals should have a background in mathematical optimization (convex, non-convex) and implementation skills.
Prospective candidates will assist in teaching courses of the group. German language skills are helpful but not necessary. Salary (for both PhD students and post-docs) is according to the TV-L E13 tariff. The position is available for an initial period of 2 years, but may be extended.
