Design & Integration of AI-Based Software Components

Many companies are looking to adopt artificial intelligence, frequently in the form of machine learning (ML), in their existing software systems. However, few ML models ever bridge the gap from proof of concept to production. Our project, Design & Integration of AI-based Software Components (AI-DIA), is looking to change this situation by giving practitioners actionable guidelines and tools to help integrate ML models into existing software systems.

As a microproject within the Software Campus program, our project hinges on close collaboration with our industry partner, the Carl Zeiss SMT GmbH, to ensure that our results are not only scientifically sound but also relevant and applicable in practice.
