Description
Upon successful completion of this module, students are able to understand how modern data management systems leverage hardware to achieve high-performance. Students will gain insights into a variety of hardware usage, ranging from CPU- and memory-aware designs to efficient use of storage and network technologies, as well as accelerators.
Teaching and learning methods
In this seminar students will present and discuss recent papers on hardware-conscious database designs.
