New Article on Data Protection Assurance Mechanisms Published in Datenschutz & Datensicherheit

A new technical paper on different assurance mechanisms that allow organizations to signal compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation has been published in a special issue focusing on Data Protection Certifications and Audits.

We compared different mechanisms that allow organizations to signal compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). These mechanisms include:

  • Certifications (GDPR Article 42)
  • Codes of Conduct based on (GDPR Article 40)
  • Self-Assessments
  • Privacy Seals
  • Related standards on information security and data protection.
