Rostlab - Department of Bioinformatics and Computational Biology
The lab's research is driven by a conviction that protein and DNA sequences encode a significant core of information about the ultimate structure and function of genetic material and its gene products.

Since the winter term 2000/2001 the Ludwig-Maximilians-University and the Technical University Munich jointly offer an international and interdisciplinary bioinformatics program as “Bachelor” and “Master of Science” course. The studies target likewise the education in biology and chemistry as well as in informatics. More information on the joint program can be found here: http://www.bioinformatik-muenchen.de/.
PredictProtein at www.predictprotein.org is a service that combines diverse traditional, homology-based protein sequence analysis tools. You can directly submit a protein sequence or an alignment there and receive predictions for various features of the submitted sequence.
