Rohan Krishna Saxena: Learning Aerosol Features from Image Data

SCCS Colloquium |

Understanding aerosol dynamics is important for several applications, including the spread of infectious air-borne diseases. This project is aimed at learning aerosol features directly from image data. We can create synthetic datasets using a 3D rendering software like Blender. As the imaging of breathing out aerosols is typically quite coarse and focused on the entire cloud, we focus on coarser features, such as the volume and extend of the entire cloud.

Guided Research submission talk (Informatics). Rohan is advised by Dr. Felix Dietrich.
