Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning represents and pools the expertise in Artificial Intelligence at the Technical University of Munich. Its focus is on cutting-edge research in new machine learning algorithms across several areas, ranging from computer vision and visualization to network analysis and physics-based simulation. One of the major challenges is combining the generation and exploitation of large-scale data in modern learning paradigms, including deep learning, reinforcement learning, or general statistical learning-based techniques.

Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning aims to bundle existing activities at the Technical University of Munich and bring the developed technologies into application areas. It serves as an interface between national and international research institutes and corporations, with the goal of collaborative research and development.
