Automatic Extraction of Design Decision Relationships from a Task Managment System
Research questions
- Which characteristics of design decisions (rationale, alternative) can be manually extracted from documented tasks? (comments, descriptions, ..)
- How identified characteristics can improve automatic detection of design decision categories?
Approach
The data in issue management system JIRA is accessable over a REST API. The data model of an Jira issue is illustrated in the followin figure:
The relationships between entities stored in Jira should be analyzed and mapped to the ADD conceptual model presented by proposed by Zimmermann et al (see below).
