Between August 26 and 30, 2026, the world’s largest video game trade show—Gamescom—took place in Cologne. On July 14, 2026, TUM’s 28th DemoDay took place in Garching. While the tried-and-true format serves its purpose, there are always new developments at every DemoDay. At this DemoDay, projects were presented not only by TUM students, but also by students from Graz University of Technology and the Hochschule für Fernsehen und Film. [read more]

Organized in cooperation with the Hoschule für Film und Fernsehen München (HFF), the CreatiF Center, and Ludwig Maximilian University (LMU), TUM hosted the Immersive Media Day at the HFF on July 8, 2026. A total of nine diverse student teams exhibited their projects there. However, exhibiting completed projects requires many hours of work as part of two courses. [read more]

With around 25,000 visitors, the Esports Festival is the largest esports event in Austria. This year, TUM is showcasing student game projects at the festival. Despite the outstanding games, there are some puzzled looks among the visitors. [read more]
