Supporting Clinical Decisions with Hybrid Intelligence: A Case Study on Audiogram Interpretation
Audiograms are the clinical gold standard for assessing hearing ability, but their interpretation and annotation is laborious and time-consuming. In this project, the Chair of Information Infrastructures at TUM Campus Heilbronn and the Clinic for ENT and Head and Neck Surgery at SLK Kliniken Heilbronn are developing a hybrid intelligence system that combines data-driven image processing with clinical expertise. The goal is to utilize medical knowledge for the instantiation of a functional prototype that serves as a decision-support system for practitioners.
