TUM&SAP IDT Seminar

The IDT Seminar once again brought together students and leading industry partners for an intensive two-day closing event at SAP Walldorf. The program started with exclusive tours through SAP's S.Factory, where students explored AI-powered end-to-end manufacturing processes, and SAP Robotics at Cloud44, offering practical insights into mixed reality and industrial automation. After a guided campus tour featuring the S.Mart Experience, participants attended several expert sessions covering the latest developments in enterprise AI. Highlights included a presentation on Agentic Engineering with Joule Studio 2.0 , an introduction to SAP Learning Hub, and an open exchange on SAP's Business AI Platform. The first day concluded with the traditional IDT networking dinner, which gave students, industry partners, and SAP experts the opportunity to exchange ideas in an informal setting.

The second day focused on the students' project presentations. Working throughout the semester with industry partners, the teams developed practical concepts addressing current challenges across multiple industries. In front of representatives from academia and industry, the students demonstrated how artificial intelligence can be applied to solve complex organizational problems.
The presented projects covered a broad range of topics, from enterprise AI applications to data-driven decision-making. Throughout the seminar, students collaborated closely with their industry partners, gaining valuable insights into real organizational challenges while applying scientific methods to develop actionable solutions.
The seminar once again demonstrated the value of close collaboration between academia and industry. Students not only strengthened their methodological and technical skills but also gained first-hand experience working with stakeholders and emerging technologies.
