IDT Alumni MeetUp

The afternoon began with breakout sessions, where participants could discuss ongoing projects, share experiences, and connect across companies, academia, and the IDT community.

The evening program was opened by Prof. Dr. Ali Sunyaev, Vice President of TUM Campus Heilbronn. The following talks and panel discussion covered a broad range of perspectives on digital transformation and AI. Thomas Saueressig spoke about current technological and economic change, while Ye Li focused on how Industry AI can create value in practice. Gerhard Oswald and Prof. Dr. Yasmin Weiß discussed what the growing use of AI means for the role of humans at work. Michael Fichtner shared insights into the digital journey of FC Bayern München, and Stefan Wagner highlighted how Munich connects research, innovation, and customer value.

The event concluded with a networking BBQ, giving participants more time to continue discussions, meet former IDT students and partners, and make new connections in an informal setting.

The Meet-Up once again showed what IDT is about: bringing together students, research, and industry around real questions of digital transformation. It also provided a valuable opportunity to strengthen the community that has developed around the initiative over the past semesters.
